Clean, fresh and flavour-enhanced water.
The famous, compact Binchotan charcoal sticks have the power to purify, balance and mineralise water in just a few hours and can be reused for several months. The charcoal is usually extracted from natural sources and then processed into activated charcoal, which has a porous structure. When water flows through this activated carbon, impurities and unwanted flavours can be removed. The result is clean, fresh and flavour-enhanced water.
Application: A charcoal stick is placed in a carafe or bottle and filled with 0.5 - 1 litre of water.
The quality of cleaning depends on the time:
3 hours = good cleaning
6 hours = very good cleaning
9 hours = excellent cleaning
The charcoal sticks can be used for several weeks. If there is a noticeable change in the flavour of the water, it is advisable to boil the charcoal sticks in a pan of hot water for about 5 minutes and then leave them to dry in the sun.
Note: The mineralisation capacity decreases with the duration of use.
